GRO was founded in London by Emelie Metscher, a strategic advisor and fractional Chief of Staff with close to 20 years of experience working with founders, CEOs and C-suite across Europe.

Together with co-CEO Thomas Metscher, who brings more than 20 years in investing and capital markets, we offer a combination of expertise you rarely find under one roof: a street-smart operator who makes sure things get done, and someone who thinks and acts like the investor you're pitching to.

    With close to 20 years alongside C-suites and founders across Europe, including senior roles at BT and Virgin Money, Emelie has spent her career making complex organisations move faster and smarter. She has worked hands-on with startups across the UK, Switzerland and Sweden, and most recently was the fractional Chief of Staff to one of Europe's largest fractional talent communities.

    As a fractional Chief of Staff, she brings that same capability directly to early-stage founders, without the cost or commitment of a full-time hire. She is also the founder of Blaze, connecting senior female executives with entrepreneurial businesses across Switzerland on a fractional basis.

    With over 20 years spanning J.P. Morgan, Hellman & Friedman, a founding partner role at a London-based hedge fund, and his own investment vehicles, Thomas has backed and turned around businesses across Europe as both an institutional investor and angel. He has built deep relationships with funds and investors across European private equity, venture and credit markets over two decades - and brings that network directly to GRO.
